Excuses for not posting on this blog
Saturday, July 23rd, 20051. We went on a trip to Indiana. Pictures here.
2. Bell Canada pulled the plug on my ISP, Istop, and even after I switched to my new ISP, Start Communications, Bell still disabled ADSL on my phone line thinking I am still an Istop customer. It took two weeks for Bell to re-enable DSL on my phone line. In the meantime, I was back to using dialup. How can anyone be inspired to blog when on dialup.
3. Due to the absence of the internet, my wife turned into a SuperMom! All of a sudden the house became spic and span, there was always hot fresh cooked meal for lunch and supper. Her being a SuperMom, made me feel guilty so it turned me into a SuperDad as well, helping out in every way I can to keep the house in order.
4. Our basement which is under construction has been under construction for far too long, so I’ve been helping our contractor finish the work whenever I can.
5. A co-worker went on vacation in the midst of a major transition for one of our customers. So I am covering for him, carrying a blackberry device, on call, and attending his conference calls on top of all my regular work. And even though I am also going on vacation next week, I will still be on call, and am required to attend conference calls, check e-mail 2-3 times a day, and respond to service calls. Fortunately, where we are going we have broadband.
6. As mentioned above, we are going away on vacation next week (July 27 to August 1) to West Virginia, to join in the fun of the Sarno Family reunion (yes, I know, we are not a Sarno, but it’s fun nontheless)
7. (August 14 Update) Filipino Camp Meeting was held on August 5 - 7, and being in charge of “Event Documentation” (ie. Video, Photo, Projection, etc…).
This blog will be pretty boring for the next little while. As soon as the basement is done, we will be moving the home office from the third bedroom upstairs to the basement. This means we’ll be pretty busy for the next month, or two, or three.
Lest I get some brilliant inspiration, don’t expect any updates to this blog in a couple of weeks.
