Can fathers be mothers?
Sunday, May 8th, 2005While the number of single mothers (9.8 million) has remained constant over the past three years, the number of single fathers has grown 25 percent, from 1.7 million in 1995 to 2.1 million in 1998, according to tabulations released by the Commerce Department’s Census Bureau. Men now comprise one-sixth of the nation’s 11.9 million single parents. - Census Bureau Report
Is it possible for fathers to do everything a mother does?
If a father does everything that a mother does, can that father be an effective mother?
Is there something else aside from the things that mothers “do” that makes them a mother?
Is there a reason why God designed the family to have both a mother and a father?
My sympathies go out today (Mother’s Day) to those children in families that do not have a mother present for whatever reasons (sickness, death, economic condition, broken relationships, etc…)
I am extremely grateful that God has given me an excellent (although often under-appreciated) mother. I am also very thankful that the woman I married is the best mother my daughter, Caitlin Ema, can ever have.
I consider myself very blessed that I was raised in a home with both mother and father present, and I sincerely hope that my own children will grow up with both parents around.
