Edsel,

Thanks a bunch for the help.

One thiing I noticed is that with Breezy it looks like the libraries were relocated to /usr/lib* rather than /usr/X11R6/lib*

Hi Edsel,

Thanks for this post, and the twist at the end about having to keep lengths the same - I skipped that and wondered for a while why it was seg faulting .... (Doh!).

So far - all I have had to do is the edit and the soft link, and now I have the SAP Java based Gui working fine (Platin Gui ).

Nice hack...

Cheers.

Arroz,
My guess is that you have installed freedesktop.org which replaced some of your libraries to reference /opt/fdo. However your installation was probably broken and did not install the files in /opt/fdo.

Hello, i resolved this question (current locales) by symlinking the next path :

open("/opt/fdo/share/X11/locale/locale.alias", O_RDONLY) = 7

do you know because of the use of "/opt/fso" path? :-/

sometimes I wish I didn't know either... after writing that blog entry, I got adventurous, and got way over my head. I did fix another problem (acrobat reader won't run), but I discovered a whole lot of other problems... can of worms, if you may. Made me wish I never attempted to figure it out.
